Alfred Lee Lammers, 84, of Okeana, formerly of Bridgetown, died on March 23, 2012 at Tri County Extended Care Center in Fairfield, OH.
He was retired from the US Postal Service as a route inspector, was a WWII US Army veteran, was a member of the Ohio Horsemans Club & was a longtime member of the Bridgetown Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn L. Kleier Lammers, by his children Sue Ellen Simpson (Gary), Linda Marie Holt-Hanlon, James L. Lammers (Janie) & David T. Lammers (Terri), by 9 grandchildren, 6 gr. grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey & Marie L. (nee Stegner) Lammers & by 3 brothers Virgil, Harold & Ray Lammers.
Friends may join the family for a memorial service with military honors Sat., Mar. 31, 2 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002. Memorials, if so desired, to the Am. Diabetes Assn. or the Am. Cancer Soc., c/o the funeral home.
