August Bernhard Bruewer \"Gus,\" 84, died at his North Bend, OH residence on July 21, 2015. A native of Steinfeld, Germany, he was the founder of Bruewer Woodwork Manufacturing of Whitewater Township. His memberships include the Architectural Woodworkers International, the ARE, the Kolping Society & St. Joseph Church of North Bend, OH. He was the beloved husband of Gertrud A. Bruewer, the devoted father of Ralph (Dorie) & Gary (Lori) Bruewer & Karen (Rick) Ruffing, the loving grandfather of Jamie (Ryan) Faxon, Brandon Bruewer, Richard (Lauren) Ruffing, Emily (Tim) Moore, Nicholas Ruffing, Eric Bruewer, Matthew Ruffing & Elizabeth Bruewer & great grandfather of Danielle Faxon. He is also survived by a sister Maria Slomker & preceded in death by 11 siblings. Visitation Sat., Aug. 1, 9 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, OH 45052. Entombment following at St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
