David Samuel Allen, 86, of North Bend, OH, died January 2, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a native of Moores Hill, IN, retired as an Educator from the Three Rivers Local School District, was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War & WWII, & was a member of St. Joseph Church of North Bend, Miller Stockum Post #485 American Legion, VFW Post #6428 & the Ohio Retired Teachers Assn.
He is survived by his wife Rita May Freudenberg Allen, by his children Edward Lee Allen (Christine Marie) & Barbara Gail Wagner (Paul), by his grandchildren Stephen Christopher, Lauren Elizabeth & Joshua Andrew Allen & by his brother Warren 'Tubby' Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents the late Vernon Cornelius & Martha (Stipe) Allen & by 2 siblings the late Willard 'Pigeon' Allen & Mary Fricker.
Visitation Thurs., Jan. 5, 6-8 PM & Fri., Jan. 6, 9-10 AM, followed by Mass of the Christian Burial, Fri. at 10 AM, all at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, OH 45052. Interment with military honors in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the benefit of Secondary School (grades 9-12) Technology Computer Labs at the new Three Rivers School Bldg. or to the Bldg. Fund of St. Joseph Church, either c/o the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002.
