Donald R. Burford, 73, of Aurora, IN & a native of Cleves, OH, died at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati on Nov. 14, 2010.
He was a General Motors retiree, a graduate of Taylor High School, North Bend, OH & a member of the Hope Baptist Church, Dillsboro, IN & the UAW.
He was the beloved husband of 54 yrs. of Ida Johnson Burford, the devoted father of Donald Burford (Karen), the loving grandfather of Kati Hardy (Ryan); Emily & Abby Burford & gr. grandfather of Rylan Wyatt Hardy & the dear brother of Paul Burford Jr. (Juanita), Brenda Lozier (Wayne) & the late Charles (Peggy) & Wanda Burford. Also survived by Ida's family Phil Johnson (Norma), Norma Bauer & Maryetta Gray, nieces & nephews, extended family & friends. Devoted son of the late Paul & Catherine Burford.
Visitation Thurs., Nov. 18, 6-9 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH & Fri., Nov. 19, 10-11 AM, followed by the service at 11 AM, at the Hope Baptist Church, 15593 US 50, Dillsboro, IN 47018. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lighthouse Children's Homes or Bibles for India, c/o Hope Baptist Church.
