Donald K. "Coach" McMillan, 89, died at his Cleves residence on Feb. 7, 2011.
He was the retired Athletic Director & Coach at Taylor High School North Bend, OH. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII having served on the carrier San Jacinto, he was a member of Miller Stockum Post #485 American Legion, VFW Post #6428, the UC Alumni Assn., the Sigma Sigma Fraternity & the ULEX. He served 32 years as the head Statistician of the Cincinnati Bengals & was an honoree of the Sports Halls of Fame at Holmes High School, Taylor High School & UC.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia C. Moore McMillan, the devoted father of Donna Kay McMillan, Dale Charles McMillan & adoptive father of Danny Stacy, the loving grandfather of Mandy, Carly, Wendy, Kimberly, Christy, Casey & Brittany & gr. grandfather of Alex, Brianna, Gabriel, Brooklyn & Bryn, the dear brother of Nancy Gibson & Charleen Randall & the beloved son of the late Charles & Fay (Childers) McMillan.
Memorial service Sat., Feb. 12, 1 PM at the Zion Un. Methodist Ch., 4980 Zion Rd., Miami Hts. The family will receive friends at reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Disabled American Vets, c/o the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002.
