Elzie C. Gibbs, 78, of Hooven, died on January 26, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, worked as a welder in the scrap metal industry, was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Greendale, IN & was formerly a volunteer & fire chief with the Whitewater Township Fire Dept.
He was the beloved husband of 58 yrs. of Thelma Y. Gibbs (nee Osborne), the devoted father of Larry, Shirley & Marvin (Joanie) Gibbs, the dear brother of Geneva Morgan, Lloyd Gibbs & June Gray, the loving grandfather of 7 & gr. grandfather of 7.
Visitation Fri., Jan. 28, 6-9 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, where the service will be held Sat., Jan. 29 at 10 AM. Interment following in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves.
