Erma Lee Pieczonka

Erma Lee Pieczonka (nee Hansmann), 84, August 14, 2023, Miami Heights. Beloved wife for over 60 years of the late Jerry Pieczonka, loving mother of Tammy Lynn Rohrer (Chuck) and Joyce Fay Benter (Todd), devoted grandmother of Keri Rohrer(Beau), Jeremy Benter (Tasha) and the late Christopher Benter, loving great “granny” of Chloe Benter, beloved daughter of the late Beatrice and Ferdinand Hansmann, loving sister of Elizabeth Beall (Joseph), Ruby Moore (the late Glenn), Patsy Hicks (Jerry) and the late Robert Hansmann, Dorothy Lozier (Lester) and Paul Hansmann (Freida), also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Erma was a 1957 graduate of Taylor High School and married her high school sweetheart Jerry Pieczonka. She worked for over 40 years as a librarian for the Three Rivers School District where she touched the lives of many children in the community. Erma was devoted to her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. She was also a long-time member of Zion United Methodist Church.
