Finis W. Blevins, Jr.

Finis W. 'Bud' Blevins Jr., 90, died at his Miami Heights (Cleves, OH) residence on Feb. 23, 2014. He was a native of Olympia, KY. He was a Kahns retiree, a US Army WWII veteran, a devoted family man and proud patriot, he wrote & recited poetry, loved singing, scrabble & sports, especially the UK Wildcats. He was the beloved husband of the late Minnie Tamme Blevins, the devoted father of Ted Blevins (Evie), Sue Grace (Roger), Eleanor 'Ellie' Lee (Doug), Dennis Blevins (Maria), Tamme Smedley (Ronnie) & the late William 'Bill' Blevins (Tori Blevins Keel (Jonathan)), the beloved son of the late Sue (Satterfield) & Finis Blevins Sr., the dear brother of Anna Louise McCarty & the late Marie Thiess & Robert Blevins, the loving grandfather of 22 & great grandfather of 28. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visitation Thurs., Feb. 27, 5 PM until time of service at 7 PM at the Miami Township Community Center, 3780 Shady Lane at Bridgetown Rd., North Bend, OH 45052. Burial with military honors, Fri., Feb. 28, 12 noon, Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials to benefit any Veterans' organization.
