Florence C. 'Granny' Wood (nee Carter), 97, of Miami Heights, died on Feb. 11, 2015 at Hospice of Cincinnati Western Hills. She had worked until retirement as the bookkeeper for a Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Co., & was a member of the North Bend United Methodist Church & the Miami Center. She was the beloved wife of the late G. Douglas Wood, the devoted mother of the late Dorothy Troeger (Ron), Charles (the late Judy) & G. Eugene (Judy) Wood, the loving grandmother of Glen Wood (Terri), Libby Van Treese (Jeff), Jan Hills (Dave), Pam Benter (Tim) & Jason Wood (Lori), the gr. grandmother of Lindsay, Brooke & Kate Hills; Adam, Chris, Ben & Emily Van Treese; Morgan, Sydney & Graham Benter; Rachel, Lauren, Michael, Aaron & Emmalyn Wood, the gr. gr. grandmother of 4, the beloved daughter of the late Harry & Effie (Baughman) Carter & the dear sister of Harry Carter (Ellen) & the late Mary Katherine Wendelken (Charles). Visitation Sat., Feb. 14, 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002. Interment Sat., 2:30 PM in Maysville, KY.
