Genevieve Welsh (nee Scanlon), 80, of Tifton, GA, formerly of Cleves, died on July 25 in Tifton.
She & her late husband had a greenhouse in North Bend & a flower shop in Cleves during the 1970's. She had earlier been a PBX operator in Sayler Park.
She was the loving wife of the late Elmer Welsh, the dear daughter of the late Raymond "Bud" & Thelma (Diekman) Scanlon, the devoted mother of Wayne Welsh (Brenda), Rebecca (Dison) Clayton & Terry Welsh, the dear grandmother of Michelle Carr, Renee Dison, Lindsay Clayton; Steven (Margaret), David & the late Christine Welsh, the gr. grandmother of little Makena Carr & the loving sister of Lurli O'Shaughnessy (Charles), Patricia Hoegeman & Vivian Bockhorst.
Visitation Thurs., July 30, 7-9 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, where the service will be held Fri., July 31 at 11 AM. Interment following at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves.
Memorials to the 1st Baptist Ch., 404 Love Ave., Tifton, GA 31794 or to the Am. Heart Assn.
