Harold Eggleston Sr., 85, of Whitewater Township, died on May 7, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati at Mercy Hospital Western Hills.
He retired as a millwright with General Electric & was a US Army veteran of WWII during which time he served as a guard at the Nuremberg Trials. He was a member of VFW Post 7570, Harrison, OH.
He was the beloved husband of the late Elwanda M.'Sissy' Hollingsworth Eggleston, the devoted father of Harold Eggleston Jr., Sam Eggleston (Connie) & Karen S. Miller, the loving grandfather of Michael Miller, Matthew & Morgan Eggleston, Emily Miller & the late Eric Miller & the dear brother of the late Dudley 'Boogie' Eggleston, Geneva 'Sis' Lohe, June Gutzwiller & Joan Bates.
Visitation Thurs., May 10, 12 noon until time of service at 2 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH. Interment with military honors in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves.
Memorials, if so desired, may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Assn.
