Irwin J. Swope, 85, of Miami Heights, died on June 15, 2008 at Mercy Hospital Western Hills.
He was a WWII US Navy veteran, a retiree from the Inmont Corp., a member of St. Joseph Church of North Bend & a member of the VFW.
He was the beloved husband of Evelyn R. Swope (nee Metz), the devoted father of Gregory Swope (Linda), Leslie Bingle (the late Bob), Paula Sunderman (Steven), David Swope (Viki), Maureen Fennell (Jeff) & Kevin Swope (Shannon) & the dear brother of Joseph Swope (the late Helen). He was preceded in death by 3 brothers & 1 sister. Also survived by 15 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation Wed., June 18, 10 AM-12 noon, followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 12:30 PM, all at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison, North Bend, OH.
Interment with military honors in St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the benefit of Cameron Swope, c/o the funeral home. Dennis George Funeral Home serving the family.
