Jack E. Rininger, Sr.

January 19, 1920 — November 2, 2011

Jack E. Rininger Sr., 91, died at his Miami Township home on Nov. 2, 2011.

He was a Pearl Harbor survivor & a WWII veteran of the US Navy, had worked as the Police Chief of Cleves, OH & was a longtime Miami Township of Hamilton County Township Trustee. His memberships included the Cleves Church of Christ, North Bend Lodge #346 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Syrian Shrine, VFW Post #6428, Miller Stockum Post #485 American Legion, FOP Lodge #84 & the Pearl Harbor Survivors Assn.

He was the beloved husband of the late Jacqueline "Jackie" Hughes Rininger, the devoted father of Jack E. "Bub" Rininger Jr. (June) & the late Michael Rininger (JoAnn), the loving grandfather of Tony (Toni), Cari (Bruce), Lynne, Ron, Kate (Jason) & Barbi & the great grandfather of 7. He is also survived by nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Visitation Sun., Nov. 6, 2-4 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002 where the service will be held Mon., Nov. 7 at 10 AM. Interment with military honors following in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves. Memorials, if so desired, may be directed to the Miami Township of Hamilton County Fire Dept., c/o the funeral home.
