James D. 'Doug' Perry, 67, of Delhi Township, & a native of Dunlow, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 4, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati at Mercy Hospital Western Hills, as his 1st granddaughter was being born. He had retired as General Superintendent of the Monsanto (Bayer) Co., was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era & a member of the Crossroads Community Church, Oakley. Left behind his beloved wife of 44 yrs., Janet L. Hager Perry & his daughters Rachel L. Hartman (Steve) & Abby L. Davis (Justin). Loving Poppy to Gabriel, Benjamin, Elijah & Caleb Hartman; Landen & Ava James Davis to whom he dedicated his retirement years. Dear brother of Juanita Wood, Mildred Smoak, Sandra Ellison, David & the late Walter Perry & beloved son of the late Samuel & Irene (Elster) Perry. Also survived by many nieces & nephews & by his beloved canine companion Isabella. 'Doug' was the Patriarch of his entire family & well-respected by his peers at Monsanto (Bayer). Visitation Mon., Sept. 10, 11 AM until time of service at 12:30 PM at the Crossroads Community Church Chapel (by the East entrance), 3500 Madison Rd., Oakley. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Am. Cancer Soc. Dennis George Funeral Home serving the family.
