James Wheeler, Sr.

James Wheeler Sr., 83, of Miami Township, died on Feb. 21, 2009 at Hospice of Cincinnati at Mercy Hospital Western Hills.
He was a WWII US Navy veteran having served on the USS Pennsylvania in the South Pacific & had worked as a truck driver for Econo Flo Flour Co. He was a member of VFW Post #6428 Addyston, OH & Miller Stockum Post #485 Am. Legion, Cleves, OH.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie Meder Wheeler, the devoted father of Donna Cassady; James, Christine, Milisa & the late Richard Wheeler, the loving grandfather of Joyce Ann, Toby, Milisa, Jonathan, Ricky, Erica, Josh, Jacob & Matt & the dear brother of Thelma Schulte; Jerry, Fred, Charlie & the late Ronald, Richard, Thomas & Larry Wheeler & Charmaine Buck. Also survived by in laws Marion Hurley, Della Eichhorn, Shirley Wheeler, Margaret Nipper; Charles, Joseph & Adolph Meder Jr. & their spouses, many gr. grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Dear son of the late John Henry & Lenora (nee Sachs) Wheeler & son-in-law of the late Margaret & Adolph Meder.
Service Tues., Feb. 24, 2 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves. Military honors following at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception following the military honors.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to VFW Post #6428, Addyston or American Legion Post #485, Cleves.
