Joseph R. Ballard, 81, of Cleves, OH & a native of Holy Cross, KY, died on Dec. 11, 2008 at the Hospice of Cincinnati at Mercy Hospital Western Hills, Cincinnati, OH.
He was a retired Machinist, a WWII US Army veteran & a member of St. Joseph Church, North Bend, OH & the Miller Stockum Post #485 Am. Legion, Cleves, OH.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary L. Cheshire Ballard, the devoted father of Judy Brown (Cecil), Betty Tucker, Sharon Kent (Bob), George (Linda) & the late Steve Ballard (the late Cindi), the loving grandfather of Matthew Brown, Rebecca Martin, Eric & Sean Tucker, Shannon Schadler, Jessica Hauser; Robby, Arron, Stephanie & Adam Kent; Brian & Jody Ballard, Melissa Meister & Heather Eisle, gr. grandfather of 15 & the dear brother of Helen Cecil, Pauline Lyle, Bertile Mattingly; Leo, Bernard, James, Bro. Joseph HCND & the late Phillip & Augustine Ballard, Iola Osborne & Gertrude Thompson.
Visitation Sun., Dec. 14, 5-7 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, OH 45002. Mass of the Christian Burial Mon., Dec. 15 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, OH 45052. Interment with military honors in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves.
