Larry D. Detmer, 66, Aug. 28, 2019, Hooven. Beloved husband of Olivia J. Hall Detmer, devoted father of Alysha Johnson (Bill), Amy Cox (Jason) & Al Glick (Wendy) & "adopted father" of Kelly Greer, Kim Wood & Deidre Lewis, loving grandfather of Christina (Greg), Olivia, Jacob, Mason, Noah, Lillian, Robert, Destiny & the late Cassie & great grandfather of Jaxon, Lincoln, Bryson & the late Ryeder, beloved son of the late Margaret (nee Mattlin) & Donald Dale Detmer & dear brother of Linda Roell (Paul), Patti Peterson (Randy), Margaret Detmer (Dana Jones) & the late Kay Klosterman (Rick). Larry was a father figure to many & a brother to all. He was employed as an abatement supervisor with Local 207 but his passion was Detmer Engines. The Detmer family has been named to the Lawrenceburg Speedway Hall of Fame. Larry was also a member of Sparc 2. Visitation Mon., Sept. 2, 5-8 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002 where the service will be held Tues., Sept. 3 at 11 AM. Friends are also invited to join the family for a gathering at Gravelrama Pavillion following services.
