Louis W. Lautz, 89, Born Sept 5, 1933, sadly passed away at his home January 19, 2023, Sayer Park. Preceded in death by his wife Wilma Jo (Dodson), his daughter Wendolyn Joyce Taylor
and his parents Joseph & Helen (Bering) Lautz.
Survived by his wonderful Grand Children Kelley (Allen) Clark, Richard (Nicole) Sunderhaus & Christina (Nate) Batchler, 6 Great Grand Children- Jackson, Ricky, Cooper, Dominic, Bella, Broderick and brother Joe Lautz Jr., and his longtime wonderful companion, Mary Ann Amyx, she was the second most wonderful woman in his life. He was known as ‘Sweet Lou’ to her 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Graduated from Princeton High School November 2013 at age 80.
He served in the US Air Force Sept 1950 thru Sept 1954.
Married Wilma Jo Dodson on May 7th 1955. Had one Daughter Wendolyn Joyce on Nov 2, 1955.
Joined the Cincinnati Fire Dept.in 1956, and after 32 years of service, retired as a Fire Engineer at Engine Co #5. Retired after 10 years as Professional driver from Executive Charter.
Started and ran the Retired Cincinnati Firefighters Golf League as ‘Commissioner’ for 30 years & enjoyed being with his fellow Firefighters. He looked forward to Mondays to spend a few hours with ‘the boys’ at the Dew Drop Inn.
Visitation Fri., Jan. 27 from 5-8 PM at Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, OH 45002. Funeral Mass Sat., Jan. 28 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, OH 45052.
