Newton Plunkett

August 12, 1925 — March 6, 2011

Newton "Mickey" Plunkett, 85, formerly of Addyston, died on Mar. 6 at the Tri County Extended Care in Fairfield, OH.

He was a US Arrmy veteran of WWII, retired as a crane operator in the river transportation industry & a member of St. Joseph Church, North Bend, OH. He was Past Post Commander of VFW Post #6428 Addyston, OH & former President of Local 14623 United Steel Workers of America.

He was the beloved husband of the late Elenor M. Stout Plunkett, the devoted father of Phillip (Carol), Mark (Sue), & Patrick (Kim) Plunkett; Marilyn Weber (Paul), Janice Coleman (Chris), Linda French (Rod) & the late Teresa Turner & the dear brother of Mona Keyes & Catherine Rankin. He was also survived by 12 grandchildren & numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation Thurs., Mar. 10, 9-10 AM, followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 10 AM, all at St. Dominic Church, Delhi. Interment with military honors in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves, OH. Dennis George Funeral Home, Cleves, serving the family.
