Ray E. Smith Jr., 67, of Green Township, died on December 19, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati. He had been in HVAC as owner/operator of Smith's Services, & formerly was in law-enforcement with the Hamilton County Sheriff's office & the Loveland, OH Police Dept. He was a member of Sharonville-Calvary Lodge #204 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Syrian Shrine, Cardinal Chapter #140 OES, North Bend Lodge #346 F&AM & the North Bend United Methodist Church. He was the beloved husband of Barbara C. Thomas-Smith, the devoted father of Allison Smith Nitschke (Shane) & stepfather of Amy Thomas Laub (Dan) & Becky Schweier (Andrew), the loving grandfather of Cole Nitschke, Kate & Megan Laub, Jacob & Justin Schweier, the beloved son of the late Lucille (nee Hauser) & Ray Smith Sr. & the dear brother of the late Robert Smith. Visitation Tues., Dec. 23, 4 PM until time of Sharonville-Calvary Lodge #204 F&AM, Scottish Rite Ring & funeral service at 7 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002.
