Robert D. Tarr, 83, formerly of Miami Heights, died on Apr. 5, 2009 at Heritagespring in West Chester, OH.
He was a retired operations manager with Sears Roebuck Co., a US Navy veteran of WWII, a longtime member of Zion United Methodist Church & formerly a member of the Southern Gateway Chorus.
He was the beloved husband of Corinne G. "Corky" Tarr (nee Peterson), the devoted father of Ted D. (Sherry), Perry L. (Diane), Robert D. Jr. (Barb) & Barry L. (Gini) Tarr, "Bobby" to his granddaughters Amy Cropper, Erin Fries, Angela Monnin & Kara Tarr & to his gr. grandchildren Sophia, Benjamin, Josslyn & a yet to be born gr. granddaughter, the loving son of the late George P. & Kitty (nee Katt) Tarr & the dear brother of Nancy Mason & the late George P. Tarr Jr. & Kitty Laibe.
Visitation Wed., Apr. 8, 10:30 AM-12 noon, followed by the service at 12 noon, all at Zion United Methodist Church, 4980 Zion Rd., Cleves, OH 45002 (Miami Heights). Interment following, with military honors, in Zion church cemetery. Reception at Zion church following interment. Memorials, if so desired, to the music ministry of Zion church. Dennis George Funeral Home serving the family.
