Vera Gerhard

Vera "Pat" Gerhard (nee Thomas), 92, of Sayler Park, OH, died on Oct. 21, 2009 at Hillebrand Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 1, 1917 at home in Addyston, OH, the daughter of Bessie Barber & Michael Thomas. She married Charles "Bud" Gerhard on Nov. 23, 1939 in Lawrenceburg, IN. Charles preceded Vera in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her beloved parents and all of her much-loved siblings: Catherine "Tot" Eggleston, Daisy Heile, Lehman & Charles "Bill" Thomas. She is survived by her 3 loving children & 1 son-in-law, John Gerhard, Betsy Eckert (Ronald) & Charles Gerhard, all of Cincinnati; 7 grandchildren with their spouses & companions, Patricia Eckert-Knoche (Terry); Gary (Molly) & John (Sheila) Eckert; Michael (Lisa), Charles Jr. (Angie) & Leyman Gerhard; & Katherine Gonzales; 17 great grandchildren, Ronald & Kelli Knoche; Jenifer Keith (Adam); Melanie, Brittany, Heather & Charles Gerhard; Jessica, Jasmine & Jade Eckert; Corey, Tyler, Colton & Megan Gerhard; Joshua Jones; Gilbert & Kimberly Gonzales as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Pat was a seamstress, homemaker, loving mother, grandmother & friend. She was a member of the OH Citizen Action & the Eden Chapel United Methodist Church of Sayler Park in Cincinnati. Visitation Sat., Oct. 24, 9-10 AM followed by the service at 10 AM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves. Interment following in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves.
